Free School Meal Update - 7th April 2020

Dear Parents, Steph and her team will be in the kitchen on Tuesday morning (Tuesday 14th April) to prepare the next 5-day food-box for our infant children (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes) and those juniors entitled to a Free School Meal.

The boxes next week will contain:

Jacket potatoes, bread, butter, cheese, cucumber, salad peppers, carrots, jelly pots, custard pots and malt loaf/snacks

and will be ready for collection between 11.30am and 12.30pm on that Tuesday (14th April).

In the meantime, may we wish you all a happy, although different, Easter; please continue to stay safe and take care.

On the topic of free school meals, may we please bring to your attention the following safety message from Cornwall Council:

“It is hard to believe that even at this unprecedented time fraudsters continue to operate, however Cornwall Council have been made aware of a large number of cases where parents are being contacted about school meal provision.

The fraudster requests the parent to provide bank account details in order to retain a free school meal entitlement; the email may be worded to say:

“As schools will be/or are closing, if you are entitled to free school meals please send us your bank details and we’ll make sure you are supported.”

The Department of Education has urged anyone receiving such emails no to respond to them and delete them immediately.”
