Morning message from Miss Farnell
Friday 10th July
Good morning Year 2,
Happy Friday everyone and it looks like we are in for a lovely week-end. This will be our last day of looking at the Fire of London topic today as next week we are having a Pirate week. Shiver 'me timbers!
I have left you a handwriting activity today and a Fire of London quiz (Powerpoint) to test your knowledge on the subject. Can you get all the answers right?
Just a reminder about returning your library books or reading books before the end of term, if you have any books from school it would be greatly appreciated if you could return them to the box in the office. We are trying to get all the resources ready for September.
Anyway, have a great weekend and see you back here on Monday.
In Maths this week we are looking at measures. Link for the Maths learning videos for each day:
Ahoy my hearties! Welcome to our last and final topic in Year 2. I thought it would be great to have some pirate fun in our last week.
We can imagine sailing the seven seas and telling bad pirate jokes. So jump on board and see what the week has to offer.
There are some great activities below including making your own pirate flag and learning all about pirate ships. You can choose to do the activities in any order so let's get going!
100 Book Challenge
At Nansloe we love reading!
We are challenging all children at Nansloe, to see if they can read 100 books before leaving Nansloe.
This challenge is for children to read the books themselves, not have them read to them. After finishing reading the book, children will need to tick the book off and write the date they completed it. Please also record your read in your reading record.
Good Luck, Happy Reading!
